Activity - for use by various student organizations to help provide student activities, such as University Union Board, band, theater, and student government.
Athletic - Partial support for the men's and women's athletic programs
Bond Revenue - supports payment of principal and interest on bonds issued to construct student activity facilities
Computer - supports computer labs and computer resource centers
Facilities Enhancement/Life Safety - funds life safety improvements and facility enhancements for University buildings, which includes state-mandated sprinkler installation in the residence halls
Health Center - partial support of Beu Health Center, which provides medical services at a reduced rate
Publication - supports the student newspaper
Talent Grant - provides funds to give grants to students who demonstrate outstanding talents in extracurricular activities such as art, theater, student government and band
Transit - supports regular bus service between campus facilities and residence halls as well as routes in Macomb
The Board of Trustees has approved a 25%
reduction in student activity, athletic, health center, publications, transit
and computer fees for students registered Fall/Spring semester for 9 or more
hours (Summer session for 6 or more hours) of student teaching, internship or
overseas experience. These reductions are for the academic term in which the
student completes the student teaching, internship or overseas experience. The
preceding information reflects the full fee rates.
All students enrolled for 9 or more hours Spring and Fall or 6 or more hours for Summer are assessed health insurance. You may request that health insurance be waived by submitting a waiver form to the Student Health Insurance Office. The Student Health Insurance Office can be reached at 309.298.1882 or email Student Health Insurance. This form must be approved and on file in the Student Health Insurance Office by the 10th day of Fall and Spring Semesters and the 6th day of Summer Semester.
