Assistantships

We have several graduate assistantships to support outstanding students. They are awarded on a competitive basis. Typically, students work from 13-20 hours per week to provide research and teaching assistance to faculty, tutoring to undergraduate students, or work on assignments in the Survey Research Center. Students receive a monthly stipend and a tuition waiver. It is expected that students receiving assistantships pursue graduate study on a full time basis.

Both the department and the School of Graduate Studies offer small awards to students engaged in research and professional development activities.
