    • Nov 3: Friday talk with visiting speaker Dr. Peter DeGabriele and a following Q & A session. Morgan 109. 7-9pm.
    • Nov 4: Presentation of graduate and undergraduate research in English studies. This year's conference theme is empathy and anger.Simpkins Hall. 8am-4pm.
  2. Zine-Making Group: EGO sponsored group, gets students together, designing/making Zines (handmade magazines). September 28 / October 26 / November 30, 2:30pm, Simpkins 27

Other:

  1. Anime Club: our first meeting will be Friday Sept 1 at 6:00-8:00 pm in SI 027.  The first 30 minutes is business then we watch and discuss three anime shorts. Meetings every Friday after that.
  2. African American Literary Society :
    • The first organizational meeting of the African American Literary Society will be held Tuesday, 9/5/17 from 4-5 in Simpkins 020.  All are invited to attend!  Light refreshments will be served.
    • The second meeting of the African American Literary Society will take place Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in 020 Simpkins, from 4:00-5:00 .  ALL are welcome - particularly those who love reading and writing short stories, essays, plays, and poetry.
