Amy Novesky Comes to WIU for Case Writer-in-Residence! (Spring 2017)

We would like to thank Amy Novesky for her reading and Q&A session April 18 at the Old Bailey House. Novesky read her recent publication, CLOTH LULLABY: THE WOVEN LIFE OF LOUISE BOURGEOIS, and spoke about the creation process from conception to publication. In addition, she read from a work in progress, GIRL ON A MOTORCYCLE, about Anne-France Dautheville’s world travels in the 1970s. She spoke eloquently about her inquiry into the themes of goodness, beauty, and truth inspired by a quote from Anne-France. Novesky also spent time earlier that day with students in composition and English Education classes about her path into editing children’s books and publishing her own works.
