Writing Fellows Program

Writing Fellows is a program through the Writing Center that matches up English 100 classes with a pair of Writing Consultants for specialized help on certain assignments in that class. The program piloted last year with one of Jacque Wilson-Jordan's English 100 classes and now works with several sections of English 100 and nearly all of the Writing Center Staff. Students meet with one of their assigned consultants once or multiple times for class credit at any point in the writing process for help with brainstorming, understanding the assignment, outlining, drafting, and polishing. This program makes a connection with students and consultants that will hopefully last throughout their academic careers and allows consultants to make a connection with faculty and students.
