John, Graduate Assistant-English

Hi. My name is John. I graduated from the University of Illinois in 2011 with a major in English and a minor in linguistics. I've been a writing consultant and graduate student of WIU since last fall, and I look forward to working with returning students and incoming students alike. I like to keep an active reading life outside my studies, and some of my current indulgences include David Foster Wallace, Herman Hesse, and Neil Gaiman. Professionally, I enjoy studying philosophy, especially media theory, poststructuralism, and postmodernism. My non-academic interests include Magic: the Gathering, Ultimate Frisbee, and Golf.
