DR. VIRGINIA JELATIS WINS CAS FACULTY MENTORING GRANT

Dr. Virginia Jelatis, a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of History, has been awarded a two-year $3,000 Faculty Mentoring Grant from the WIU College of Arts and Sciences, for 2007-2008 and 2008-2009. With the aid of this generous grant, Dr. Jelatis will pursue her scholarly and professional development in the area of Native American History. Dr. Jelatis is not only the Department's specialist in that field, but also in Colonial and Revolutionary America. In addition, she serves as the Department's Director of Graduate Studies. Dr. Jelatis joined the History Department in 1999.
