On April 8, 2011, the College of Arts and Sciences held it's Spring Reception to honor outstanding faculty, students and retiring faculty and staff. Below are those recognized at this Spring's reception:

Norman and Carmelita Teeter Undergraduate Research Awards

The Norman and Carmelita Teeter Undergraduate Research Awards are intended to recognize the most outstanding student projects in the College of Arts and Sciences for the academic year. The awards are made annually in the spring semester; however, students may apply for the awards in either fall or spring semester and all are entered into one pool of applicants. Each of the ten students that received recognition will receive a monetary award of $300.
