The WIU Physics and Engineering Club has received undergraduate research grant from Sigma Pi Sigma

The WIU Physics and Engineering Club has received undergraduate research grant from Sigma Pi Sigma, the national student Physics Honor Society.

The grant is an Undergraduate Research Award for a total of $800 that was awarded on January 28th, 2010. This grant goes toward the purchase of equipment for the purpose of conducting precise measurements of the electric field above a rotating magnetic disc to show whether or not the rotation of the magnet induces an electric field. The student investigators are Chris Fraser, Sean Crowe and Dustin MacDermott. The faculty advisors for this project are Dr. James Rabchuk, Dr. Kishor Kapale and Dr. P K Babu.
