Pre-requisites: PHYS 197, 198, and 200.
Introduction to the field of radio astronomy. This course will focus on the astrophysical environments and physical mechanisms that generate radio emission in space, the types of radio telescopes currently in use, and how to reduce and analyze observations conducted with single dish telescopes such as the Arecibo observatory and interferometers such as the Very Large Array.
