Re: FALL Physics Departmental Picnic and Get-Together at Boley Farm

Date: Saturday October 24 at 1:00 p.m. until ???

From: Dr. Mark S. Boley, Professor and Interim Chair of Physics

Please let me know if you can attend and what food dish you might bring.

For international students and faculty, a dish native to your country is also welcomed.

If you need a ride or can provide rides for any other students without transportation, please also let me know, so that I can match up appropriately to get as many physics participants there as possible.

Brian Davies will also be driving a 15-passenger university van for those international students who might need transportation and don't have their own car or a friend with a car. He will be behind Currens Hall in the parking lot between 11:15 and 11:30 along with any other students who can help to provide rides for others.

Weather permitting, we will have an outdoor bonfire, with opportunities for roasted hotdogs, perhaps also grilled hamburgers if possible (if Chris is willing to run the grill!).

Tractor rides (and test drives!) and cow rides and fun for all!! Also, perhaps some opportunities for physics "pressurized" demonstrations!!

Bring the family and friends and come on out.

If you need any directions, or a map, please let me know.

For those coming from Macomb, plan on leaving by 11:30 a.m. as the drive time is about 1.5 hours.

Thanks, Mark S. Boley
