Additional Information 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.  M.A. degree earned from Northern Illinois University in Developmental Psychology.

Teaching:

Primarily undergraduate general education courses, including Introduction to Psychology (Psy 100), Psychology of Child Development (Psy 221), Human Social Behavior (Psy 250), and Personality and Adjustment (Psy 251).

Research:

Research interests broadly include parenting and adolescent sexual attitudes and behavior.  Specific interests include how perceptions of parenting practices—like communication about sex—are related to adolescent sexual behavior, similarities in actual and perceived parental sexual attitudes and their relation to adolescent sexual attitudes, and the relationship between adolescent sexual attitudes and sexual behavior.
