All scholarship forms are available in the Department of Accounting & Finance office-431 Stipes Hall. The application forms, along with any additional required documentation, may also be dropped off at the Department of Accounting & Finance office or mailed to:

Deadline for Accounting Scholarships-March 24, 2012
Accounting Foundation Scholarships
$200-$750. Awarded to sophomore and junior accounting majors. Selection based on academic performance and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Beta Alpha Psi Scholarship
One $500 award. Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi.
Beta Alpha Psi Excel Scholarship
One $1000 award. Member of Beta Alpha Psi-Quad Cities.
Michael Cochrane Scholarship
One $1000 award. Awarded to accounting majors. Selection based on academic performance and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Deere & Co. Scholarships
Two $1000 awards. Awarded to accounting majors. Selection based on academic performance and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Heinold-Banwart, Ltd. Annual Scholarship
One $1000 award. Student enrolled at WIU, majoring in accounting as a full-time student in good academic standing; must be completing junior year and entering 3 + 2 in the accounting program. Minimum GPA of 3.0; reside within a 100-mile radius of Peoria.
Harriet Hunt Memorial Scholarship
One $500 award. Awarded to a Quad Cities campus accounting major. Selected by the faculty at the WIU-QC campus based on academic performance.
IMA Student Chapter Scholarships (SCIMA)
Two $350 awards. Awarded to one or two members of SCIMA. Separate application process.
George Krull Jr. Scholarship
One $500 award. Awarded to a junior accounting major. Selection based on academic performance and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Bruce Kruse
One $750 award. Awarded to accounting majors. Selection based on academic performance and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Colonel Marinda Coultas Wood Scholarship
One $1500 award. Awarded to an upper division full-time accounting major. Must have completed intermediate accounting and have a minimum GPA of 3.2 in accounting. Preference given to applicants from Scott, Morgan, Greene, and Pike counties in Illinois and to applicants who plan to sit for the CMA exam.
McGladrey & Pullen Scholarships
Two $500 awards. Selection based on academic performance and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Thomas Nardi Scholarship
One $2000 award. Awarded to accounting major with preference given to students from Auburn, Divernon, Pawnee, Virden, and Waverly counties. Selection based on academic performance and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Craig R. Neader
Three $2000 awards. Must be enrolled at WIU majoring in accounting and be entering 4th or 5th year of the Integrated Accounting Degree Program. GPA of 3.0. Must be involved in BAP and must be a United States citizen. Selection based on academic performance and participation in Beta Alpha Psi.
Samuel Oliva Scholarship
Three $2000 awards. Awarded to full-time or part-time graduate/undergraduate accounting majors who have completed a minimum of 60 SCH, have an overall GPA of 3.2, and have demonstrated leadership through involvement in accounting organizations.
Steven Penn Scholarship
One $500 award. Awarded to accounting majors. Selection based on academic performance and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Thomas R. Rauman Scholarship
Two $1000 awards. Awarded to sophomore, junior, and graduate accounting majors. Selection based on academic performace and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Marcus K. Sipolt
One $1000 award. Accounting major 90 semester hours earned by end of spring semester; 3.5 GPA.
J. David Smith Scholarships
Selection based on need and participation in accounting organizations and activities.
Society of Accountancy Scholarship WIU-QC
One $350 award. Awarded to a member of the WIU-RC Society of Accountancy. Selected by officers of the Society of Accountancy based on participation in SA activities.
Penelope J. Yunker
One $1000 award. Must be enrolled at WIU majoring in accounting and be entering the 5th year of the Integrated Accounting Degree Program or be enrolled in the Master of Accountancy Program. GPA of 3.25 overall and in accounting. Must be able to document involvement in accounting student organizations.

There will be at least 2 scholarships, but no more than 4 scholarships, awarded in equal or unequal sizes. The maximum award is $1500. Scholarships are payable at the beginning of the fall semester. The recipient(s) will be recognized at the College of Business and Technology Awards Banquet in the spring. Criteria details on the Potter Scholarship application. Application deadline: March 12, 2012.
Malcom S. and Mary Lou Torgerson Scholarship

Amount of scholarship: $350. The recipient is selected by the Finance Scholarship Committee. Award presented at the College of Business and Technology Awards Banquet in the spring. Application deadline: March 12, 2012.
