Congratulations to Fall 2011 Graduates

Dr. Ralph Dirksen, who will be retiring from the Engineering Technology Department in June of 2012 after forty-three (43) years of service at Western Illinois University, had the honor of congratulating the Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES) graduates.  Dr. Dirksen serves the graduate program as Director and Advisor for all graduate students.  He works closely with them to prepare their respective programs of study, register for classes, and helps direct them into elective areas of study that complement the MES program.   Dr. Dirksen also ensures that the capstone activity for the MES program is complete; whether it is a Thesis, Independent Research Project, or Graduate Internship.  Pictured below is Dr. Dirksen with the ten (10) graduate students who participated in Fall Commencement activities.  Thank you, Dr. Dirksen, for your years of dedicated service to the Graduate Program.

Fall 2011 MES Graduates

Recognized at the December 17, 2011 Fall Commencement ceremonies were eighty-two undergraduate and fourteen graduate students who had completed degree requirements in Engineering Technology Department programs.  There were fifty-one (51) Construction Management graduates, six (6) Engineering Technology graduates, twenty-five (25) Graphic Communication graduates, and fourteen (14) Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology graduates.  Congratulations to all of you.  Included in this number were ten (10) students who graduated with honors and recognitions from the Department and the University:
