Endowments, Funds, & Scholarships

Thomas and Virginia Helm Undergraduate Research Day Endowment

This endowment was created by Dr. Tom Helm, a former director of the Centennial Honors College and professor of Religious Studies at WIU for over 30 years, and his wife, Dr. Virginia Helm, a former COEHS professor and assistant dean who also served as an assistant Provost at WIU. This endowment supports Undergraduate Research Day.

Honors Law Symposium Fund

This is a general fund that supports the Honors Law Symposium.

Honors College Endowment

This endowment, established internally, serves as a general purpose endowment account for the Centennial Honors College.

Honors Pre-Law Scholarship Fund

This fund, established after a donation from Ernest Codilis, funds scholarships for Honors Pre-Law minors.

Mukti Fund Endowment

This endowment was created by the Mukti Fund in honor of its founder Martin Dupuis, a former Political Science professor at WIU who also served as the Associate Director and Interim Director of the Centennial Honors College. It funds the Dupuis Leadership Award, a scholarship given to an Honors student from an under-represented community as well as a student from the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

Honors Foundation Fund

This general fund supports study abroad scholarships, writing prize awards, research grants, student travel, Honors scholarships and general support for the Centennial Honors College.
