On Sept. 2 at 3:14 p.m. a student reported his IPod, valued at $200, was stolen from the Henninger Hall recreation room.
On Sept. 3 at 2:30 a.m. Matthew B. Felde, 19, of Corbin Hall 824, was arrested in his residence hall room for consumption of alcohol by a minor and for possession of a false ID. He was assigned an Oct. 20 court date.
On Sept. 3 at 2:07 a.m. two students, who were about to enter Lincoln Hall carrying two pizzas, where blocked from entering by two unknown individuals. One of the individuals began hitting both students repeatedly. The incident is under investigation.
On Sept. 3 at 2:27 a.m. a student reported his cell phone, valued at $250, was taken from his room in Thompson Hall. The incident is under investigation.
On Sept. 3 at 9:04 p.m. a student in Lincoln Hall received a judicial referral for possession of alcohol by a minor.
On Sept. 3 at 8:58 p.m. Alex J. Buckridge, 18, of 802 Thompson Hall, was arrested in his residence hall room for possession of cannabis (less than 10 grams). He was assigned an Oct. 13 court date.
On Sept. 3 at 7:24 p.m. a student reported the theft of his WIU lanyard, which contained several keys as well as WIU and YMCA ID cards, from the Donald S. Spencer Student Recreation Center weight room.
On Sept. 3 at 7:11 p.m. officers responded to an active fire alarm on the second floor of Thompson Hall, where smoke was in the hallways and lobby area. Two students had preheated the oven and did not realize there were two pieces of bread in the oven, which burned and set off the alarm. The area was ventilated and the alarm was reset.
On Sept. 3 at 1:19 p.m. a student reported the theft of his IPod player, clock radio station, PlayStation 3 and two controllers as well as his roommate's cash box from his Higgins Hall room. The incident is under investigation.
On Sept. 3 at 11:07 a.m. a female reported that she was sexually assaulted on Aug. 20 on the 12th floor of Thompson Hall when a man grabbed her buttocks and said nasty things to her.
On Sept. 3 at 10:02 a.m. Phyllis A. Pilger (nonstudent), 58, of Browning (IL), was arrested at Bower Road and University Drive after she drove under a moving train track crossing guard. She was charged with disobeying a signal indicating the approach of a train. She posted her driver's license for an Oct. 7 court date.
On Oct. 4 at 1:41 a.m. three students in Q-Lot West were arrested for cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Dominic P. Nuguid, 19, of 409 Thompson Hall, was arrested for possession of cannabis (less than 10 grams). Daniel A. Ray, 18, of 417 Thompson Hall, was arrested for possession of cannabis (less than 10 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kyle P. Donegan, 19, of 315 Thompson Hall, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. They all were issued an Oct. 20 court date.
