On Sept. 21 at 3:48 p.m. a resident of Tanner Hall reported his iPod, valued at $250, was missing from his room. Office of Public Safety is investigating.
On Sept. 21 at 7:16 p.m. Christopher T. Chothen, 25, of 420 N. State St., Macomb, was arrested in Tanner Hall for disobeying his criminal trespass order to campus. He posted $100 cash bond for an Oct. 28 court date.
On Sept. 21 at 10:09 p.m. a student in Bayliss Hall reported being verbally harassed by another student known to her. The incidents are under investigation.
On Sept. 22 at 10:14 p.m. four students on the sixth floor of Higgins Hall were given judicial referrals for cannabis.
On Sept. 21 at 10:24 p.m. a fire alarm was activated on the 10th floor lounge of Tanner Hall due to smoke from burned food in a microwave. Macomb Fire Department responded; however, hall staff had begun ventilating the area and the alarm was reset.
On Sept. 22 at 11:51 p.m. Christopher D. Malpede, 18, of 220 Higgins Hall, was arrested in his residence hall room for possession of drug paraphernalia and for possession of cannabis (less than 10 grams). He was given a Nov. 3 court date. Two other individuals were issued judicial referrals for cannabis.
On Sept. 22 at 11:08 a.m. there was a report of the smell of smoke and a possible fire in a garbage can outside at the Tanner Hall circle. Residence hall head staff used a fire extinguisher on the garbage can, which was not on fire, just smoking.
On Sept. 22 at 10:36 a.m. a student reported her iPod (no estimated cost) was missing from her residence hall room in Tanner. The incident is under investigation.
On Sept. 22 at 7:22 p.m. a student reported that his bicycle, valued at $100, was taken from the University Union bike rack on Murray Street. The incident is under investigation.
