On Oct. 16 at 1:20 a.m. the Office of Public Safety received a report that a group of males had torn down and damaged a University-owned banner from the north side of the University Union and fled on foot. After being apprehended by OPS, Tim R. Fogarty, 19, of 1010 Corbin Hall, was arrested for obstructing a police officer and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, and non-student Anthony S. Warren, 21, of Yorkville, IL, was arrested for criminal damage to property and trespassed from campus. Fogarty posted $100 bond for a Dec. 2 court date. Warren posted $100 bond for a Dec. 7 court date. In addition, James P. Richard, 19, and Christopher R. Zepeda, 19, both of 717 Corbin Hall, and non-student Sharif M. Denden, 19, of Chicago, were arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Each received a Nov. 17 court date.
On Oct. 15 at 7:09 p.m. a student reported that a digital camera, valued at $200, and a hairstyling tool, valued at $45, were stolen from her residence hall room.
On Oct. 15 at 2:08 a.m. Nathan N. Ivetic, 19, of 1512 Thompson Hall, was arrested in Q Lot for tampering with a vehicle and for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He posted $100 bond for a Dec. 12 court date.
On Oct. 14 at 4:32 p.m. an individual reported that the driver's side door of his vehicle had been dented sometime around 6:30 p.m. Oct. 13 when parked in Q Lot near the Student Recreation Center. A damage estimate was not available.
On Oct. 14 at 3:27 p.m. a student reported that his keys and student ID card were stolen from the Student Recreation Center weight room sometime between 2-2:40 p.m. Estimate of key and lock replacement and ID card was valued at $382.
On Oct. 14 at 11:03 a.m. a student reported receiving harassing text messages from a person known to her.
