The crime log incidents posted may not match the crime statistics as reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report per the federal Clery Act, as the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code and the crime statistics are required by law to be compiled using the Federal Uniformed Crime Reporting definitions.

According to federal law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, e.g. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition, if any of the following conditions apply. Disclosure is prohibited: by law; would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim; would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or would result in the destruction of evidence.

On Oct. 18 at 9:45 a.m. a student came to Mowbray Hall to report the theft of a hangtag, valued at $60, from her vehicle. The incident is under investigation.

On Oct. 19 at 5:22 p.m. a student outside Washington Hall was judicially referred for cannabis possession. At the same time, Anneisha Owens, 18, of 818 Washington Hall was given a notice to appear in court Nov. 19 for unlawful possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.

On Oct. 20 at 1:08 a.m. four students in Washington Hall were judicially referred for cannabis possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Oct. 20 at 6:13 p.m. non-student Michael Muhammad, 20, of Chicago was arrested at 201 Wigwam Hollow Road for criminal trespass, domestic battery, possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting a police officer. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail at 6:59 p.m. pending bond.

On Oct. 20 at 6:26 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Thompson Hall. A fire extinguisher had been used in a building kitchen. No damage or injuries were reported.

On Oct. 21 at 12:16 a.m. Donisha Quinn, 21, of 1505 W. Jackson St., was arrested at her residence for mob action and battery in Thompson Hall. She was lodged in the McDonough County Jail at 12:51 a.m. pending bond.

On Oct. 21 at 3:15 a.m. a non-student in the McDonough District Hospital Emergency Room reported she was sexually assaulted in a campus residence hall Oct. 19 by a person known to her. The incident is under investigation.
