STARLAB Workshop

On Friday, September 23rd, Don Powers, C&I faculty member, conducted a STARLAB Workshop for 27 WIU undergraduate students.  During the five-hour Friday afternoon workshop the students participated in a number of activities such as measuring the location of the Sun, learning to read star charts, and observing sunspots with a solar telescope.  The participants also visited the portable STARLAB Planetarium where they learned how to locate various stars and constellations as well as legends accompanying those constellations.  The Maurice G. Kellogg Science Education Center hosted the STARLAB Workshop.
