Meet the Coordinator for University Field and Clinical Experiences
You are requested to meet with the Coordinator for University Field and Clinical Experiences. See below:
What : Meet with the Coordinator, Jacqlin Richmond
Who : All pre-student teachers and student teachers individually on the Macomb Campus (Quad Cities campus students will meet as a group).
Where : Horrabin Hall 91
When : Meet once, during the semester your application for student teaching is submitted to the CPEP office and as needed (possibly several times) the semester prior to student teaching.
Why : Review the timelines for different programs, discuss placement procedures/criteria and answer questions.
The role of the Coordinator is to assist the pre-student teacher through the process of preparation for the student teaching experience. It also includes assisting with problem solving and resource investigation.
In addition, during the student teaching experience, the Coordinator is one of the main connections to campus. Ongoing communication between you and the Coordinator is vital. The Coordinator serves in a guidance and problem solving capacity.
