Christine Anderson received a B.A. from Charleston Southern University, a M.A. from the University of South Florida, and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. She certified and taught in five states holding both elementary and secondary teaching positions providing instructional models. At the university level she has been an instructor at Arizona State University and the University of Iowa.

Research interests include the benefits of art for individuals with disabilities, technology, specifically as it relates to teacher preparation and training, effective academic and behavioral interventions for individuals with behavior disorders and for the population identified as juvenile offenders. Using a single subject alternating treatment design, her dissertation analyzed the effect of choice as an intervention on several dependent measures related to academic and behavior outcomes with the population of female juvenile offenders.

Christine and her husband, Curtis, are the parents of six children and grandparents of eight.
