My professional experience has included teaching at every level from 8th grade through doctoral students. Creating an engaging and stimulating experience for all students or workshop participants is a promise that I make to all of my students. I have experience as a staff developer and consultant to the K-12 educational systems in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. Each of these states has unique educational laws, regulations and “cultures.” In addition, I spent twenty-six years in secondary education (middle and high school levels) as an English teacher, department chairman, dean, assistant principal, principal and curriculum director in small and large schools in Omaha, NE area. My experience in higher education includes teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels at three different institutions; it has also included supervising interns, student teachers and doctoral students in a variety of schools and positions. Currently, my research interests include studying the effect of professional development on practicing principals, the effect of graduate studies on a teacher leadership group housed in local district and the effectiveness of electronic collaboration tools in graduate level courses in educational administration. I currently live and office in the Quad Cities area.
