Department of Health Sciences & Social Work

The Department of Health Sciences & Social Work at Western Illinois University offers a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management, and a Bachelor of Social Work on the Macomb campus. Undergraduate students majoring in health sciences may select one of two emphases: community health education or environmental and occupational safety. A Master of Science in Health Sciences with options in Public Health and School Health is available on both the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses.  Social Work provides a high quality educational experience, which serves a diverse population, contributes to the enhancement of social service delivery systems, and improves the quality of life for some of our nation's most vulnerable at-risk populations. Our program boasts a proud tradition of supporting social services in the west central Illinois region and throughout the state of Illinois.
