Biographical Sketch: Jeanne M. Clerc, Ed.D., MT(ASCP)SH is a Professor in the Department of Health Sciences. She earned a Doctorate of Education with a major in Allied Health Education/Administration from the University of Houston, Houston, Texas.
She has practiced as a registered medical technologist (clinical laboratory scientist), performing diagnostic laboratory testing on blood and other body fluids to assist with patient diagnosis and care. She is certified as a specialist in Hematology through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
Dr. Clerc has taught both at the community college and university levels as well as served in various higher education administrative capacities such as dean and associate provost.
Dr. Clerc has authored one textbook, "An Introduction to Clinical Laboratory Science", written two chapters for the editor of a Hematology textbook, published numerous journal articles throughout her career and received grant funding for projects which total over 1 million dollars.
In her spare time, Dr. Clerc enjoys exercise, reading, dancing, knitting, and sewing.
