Attention all Fire majors and minors

We are now taking student applications for the 2015 Gateway Fire Academy in Quincy. The academy consists of 3 - 40 hour residence courses held at the Quincy Fire Training Facility.  Completion qualifies students to challenge the OSFM Basic Fire Skills certification test. Each course yields 3 S.H. of WIU credit  (9 hours total)

Fire Club News

On Tuesday November 4 at 6 p.m. in Stipes 121, the Fire Protection Studies Club will host a presentation entitled "Tactics for Successful Fire & Police Job Interviews".  The presentation will be given by Barry Cheyne, a Fire/Police commissioner in Quincy Illinois. The presentation is recommended for any student anticipating a career in law enforcement or fire protection.  Admission is free.

The Fire protection Studies Club meets on the first and third Tuesday each month. Meeting are held in Stipes Hall at 6:00pm.  All students are welcome.
