**The optional LEJA pre-internship meeting for spring 2014 and beyond is scheduled to be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013, in Stipes Hall 121. This will be a brief informational meeting and is optional. The internship process and procedures will be discussed followed by an opportunity for questions and answers.  

Mandatory Internship Meetings for Spring 2014 LEJA Interns

Meeting Dates 

  • Tuesday, August 27, 2013 - 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    121 Stipes Hall - Maximum seating 100
  • Wednesday, August 28, 2013 - 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    121 Stipes Hall - Maximum seating 100

NOTE:  Both meetings will contain the same information, so only one of the two meetings is required of you. Failure to attend one of these mandatory meetings could result in the student not being allowed to complete a Summer or Fall 2013 internship (unless permission was obtained from Professor Durkin prior to the scheduled meetings).

Pictures will be taken from 4:00 until 4:25 p.m. in Stipes Hall 122 on the above dates. These will be professional pictures, color, from the waist up, so dress appropriately (COST $8, four color photographs). No internship application will be processed without student picture (1 1/2" x 2").

Internship Forms

In order to be considered for a spring 2014 internship, Professor Durkin must have received the student's completed internship forms (application) prior to Friday, November 15, 2013. In order to be considered for a summer 2014 internship, Professor Durkin must have received the student's completed internship forms (application) prior to Friday, March 7, 2013. In order to be considered for a fall 2014 internship, Professor Durkin must have received the student's completed internship forms (application) prior to Friday, April 14, 2014.

NOTE: Potential federal interns (i.e., U.S. Secret Service Interns, ATF Interns, U.S. Marshals, and Customs Interns) and Illinois State Police Interns, see Professor Durkin (Stipes 330C) immediately for application information.
