OPPDT
Overview
The Office for Partnerships, Professional Development and Technology (OPPDT) serves the College of Education and Human Services (COEHS), the teacher education program and external organizations.
- The Office of Teacher Education Partnerships (OTEP) provides onsite professional development to meet the needs of practicing teachers to enhance student learning.
- STAR-Online offers pre-service, new and veteran teachers the training and support necessary for success in the classroom through online professional development.
- The Interactive Multimedia Lab (IMM Lab) provides advanced software, peripherals and training to faculty and students interested in developing multimedia projects and distance learning courses.
- The Technology Resource Checkout (TRC) provides support by offering the latest technologies for use with instruction.
OPPDT's mission is to provide training and professional development
opportunities for those persons using technology in their teaching and
learning at Western Illinois University.
To that end, OPPDT presents a wide variety of free services and programs for COEHS faculty, students and staff.
From multimedia production to distance learning course creation and
management, OPPDT seeks to enable COEHS faculty, students, and staff
to use technology as another tool in their toolbox for enhancing their
learning experiences.
