Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration

Position within the Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration: Associate Faculty/ ECOEE Coordinator

Jeff has been leading ECOEE since 1999 and was a graduate assistant for ECOEE in 1990 under the leadership of Michael McGowan.

Some of his favorite things about ECOEE is getting to know the students in a way that few professors get to. He loves talking to them at "his campfire", on long drives in the van, and really anywhere! If you have something on your mind or want to talk about a passion, he's all ears.

Jeff is a pretty tough guy, but you have to be if you have lived the life he has led! This life includes climbing El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, canoeing all the way to Hudson Bay in Canada, working with ajudicated youth in Florida through Outward Bound, and growing up on a dairy farm. These are just a few of the experienced that have built up this mans grit.

These experiences have given him lots to think about and learn from, and he utilizes them throughout ECOEE, both in the classroom and in the field. If you want to go into Outdoor Leadership, Jeff Tindall is THE resource for you here at W.I.U.
