2012 ECOEE Reunion

Join us this February at Horn Field Campus in Macomb, Illinois for a fun filled weekend of story swapping, picture sharing, and a test of your ECOEE outdoor skills. The reunion this year will have a special focus on ECOEE groups from 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007, and 2012. We would like to see any and all alumni attend, but due to the large number of ECOEE alums, we will begin to highlight specific ECOEE groups at the annual gathering.

 

Cost and Registration

The cost for attending the reunion is minimal at just $25. These costs will cover use of Horn Field Campus and meals. Be sure to contact your fellow alumni and bring them along!  To help you reconnect, the ECOEE web site with the alumni listed by year can be viewed at http://www.wiu.edu/RPTA/ecoee/alumni/. We look forward to seeing you in February for this fun filled family friendly time!

Location

 

All reunion activities will be held at Horn Field Campus. If you are interested in staying at Horn Field Campus, tent camping sites are available or bunk in either of the two lodges . There are also several hotels in town, tent/RV camping is available at Spring Lake Park and Argyle Lake State Park (reservations should be made in advance).

 

Schedule

Friday, February 24

To kick off the weekend at Horn Field Campus, there will be a Cookout and other family oriented evening activities. If you get into town early, be sure to drop by Campus and Currens Hall for a walk down memory lane. Dinner will be provided at 5 Pm.

 

Saturday, February 25th

Breakfast (provided)

10:00 am Introductions, slide/picture presentations and stories


12:00 pm Lunch (provided)


1:30 pm ECOEE Skills Challenge, one-match fires, blindfolded tent set up, knot tying, rope tricks and more!


6:00 pm potluck Evening campfire, activities, and night hike

 

This year’s festivities will conclude on Sunday morning, February 26th(breakfast provided).
