Podcasting with Audacity

Podcasting with Audacity:

By: Amanda Richards, Interactive Multimedia Lab Assistant

Audacity was started in the fall of 1999 by Dominic Mazzoni. The program is very similar to Apple’s GarageBand and can be used to edit audio in order to fit your needs. Audacity is available for both Mac and PC users.  To download Audacity you can go to the Audacity website at. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/.

Audacity is not only free to download but you are also free to do almost anything you want with it.  Audacity is distributed under the terms of the General Public License (GPL).  You are free to use the program for personal or commercial purposes and you are also free to give it away or sell it.  The source code to this program is freely available on the web, and you are free to modify it for your own use, however, any changes you make must also be distributed under the GPL.  A few reasons why they make Audacity free is that it will be more popular (people are more happy and friendly when they get something for free) and that it encourages collaboration.  If they had made it shareware instead of freeware then it would be unlikely that many people would have contributed code, bug fixes, documentation, and graphics.  So enjoy this FREE program Audacity.

  • With the 2014 FIFA World Cup coming to Brazil later on this year, it is time for
EA to release the unavoidable movie match tie-in. For whatsoever purpose even though, this sport will only be releasing on PS3 and Xbox 360, so
I would not anticipate as well much from it.
At least we are going to most likely get a humorous GIF or two
ahead of it is overlooked. EA Sports 2014 FIFA World Cup
Brazil launches April 15 in North The us. Coca Cola today introduced
their formal 2014 FIFA World Cup anthem with a track called “The World Is Ours,” performed
by David Correy, and featuring samba rhythms from well-known Rio percussion group Monobloco.
