Dawn Sweet - Manager, Instructional Development Services

Dawn researches and provides a vision for the implementation of emergent technologies into the fields of education and human services. In addition to oversight of technology support and training for COEHS, she provides related workshops and one-on-one consultations with faculty, and coordinates the Faculty Innovators Program. Dawn also writes blog posts for the COEHS Technology Insights Blog. Her technology specialties include technology integration, mobiles, Web 2.0, virtual worlds, blogs, wikis, social networking, podcasting, online course development, web design, and interactive whiteboards. Dawn completed her M.S.Ed in Educational and Interdisciplinary Studies at Western Illinois University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

 

Josh Butcher – Assistant Manager, Instructional Development Services

Josh and a team of qualified Graduate Assistants provide college-specific support for desktop and electronic classroom computing resources. He also oversees the daily functions of the Interactive Multimedia Laband the Technology Resource Center. Josh’s specific technology skills and interests include podcasting and vodcasting, multimedia authoring, video production and editing, screen casts and screen capture tutorial development, web page development, and blogging. Josh also writes blog posts for the COEHS Technology Insights Blog. He completed his M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology at Western Illinois University where he also earned his bachelors degree. 

 

 

Carlo Daniels - Graduate Assistant, Instructional Development Services

Carlo Daniels is a Graduate Assistant at Technology Resource Checkout, where his work involves checking in and out technology equipment to faculty members and students of COEHS. He also assists in the support of hardware, software, and electronic classrooms throughout the college. In addition to these responsibilities, Carlo presents workshops and writes articles about emergent technologies for the COEHS TechInsights blog.  Carlo is currently working to receive his Master's Degree in Instructional Design and Technology to broaden his knowledge of applicable technologies and instructional principles that can aid him in the creation of training materials within both the corporate and higher education settings.  He also seeks to utilize his studies in Cultural Anthropology from his undergraduate career to assist him in his projected profession as an Instructional Designer.

 

Nicole Dobyns – Graduate Assistant, Instructional Development Services

Nicole Dobyns is a graduate assistant at Technology Resource Checkout where her duties include checking technology to faculty, staff, and students in COEHS. Nicole is working toward her Master's in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration. She also assists in the support of hardware, software, and electronic classrooms throughout the college. Prior to her position at TRC, Nicole received her Bachelor's degree at Western Illinois in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration. She is hoping to take her knowledge within the recreation and leisure field and her knowledge of technology to start out with a higher administrative position upon graduation.

 


Amanda Richards, Interactive Multimedia Lab Assistant

Amanda Richards is a lab assistant for the Interactive Multimedia Lab (IMM lab) where she provides assistance and training to COEHS faculty, staff, and students on a variety of high-end multimedia applications and software.  She also presents workshops and writes articles about emergent technologies for the COEHS TechInsights blog. Amanda is majoring in hospitality with a minor in RPTA.  She is most interested in new technology and interesting websites. Amanda works in programs such as iMovie, Windows MovieMaker, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Garageband.

 

 

 

Brittany Carter, Interactive Multimedia Lab Assistant

Brittani Carter is a lab assistant for the Interactive Multimedia Lab (IMM lab) where she provides assistance and training to COEHS faculty, staff, and students on a variety of high-end multimedia applications and software.  She also presents workshops and writes articles about emergent technologies for the COEHS TechInsights blog. Brittani is majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Family & Consumer Sciences. Brittani’s able to work in programs such as iMovie, Windows MovieMaker, Microsoft Office Programs, Photoshop and Garageband.
