Art Teacher Education

The mission of the Art Teacher Education program is to prepare students for the challenges of teaching art at the K-12 grade levels. 

The Art Teacher Education curriculum prepares students for K-12 teacher certification in the State of Illinois. Students will develop technical and creative skills, be exposed to a broad range of artistic media, study the theory and methods of art education and the history of art, and complete the required Teacher Education curriculum required by the College of Education and Human Services.
