Clay Club

The Clay Club is dedicated to the advancement of ceramic art education. This club promotes ceramic art through community outreach, field trips, conferences, and visiting artist workshops/lectures. Clay Club members work together to provide the Macomb community with a better understanding of the possibilities of Ceramic art. 

The Clay Club is one of the major contributors to the  Art Sale , a semesterly event that features-creative, handmade, one-of-a-kind ceramics, jewelry, prints and other artwork. This event is Monday - Wednesday of Finals Week every semester in the University Student Union.

KAPPA PI

Kappa Pi is an International Art Honor Society for artistically and academically gifted art students. Kappa Pi is a University recognized organization whose objective is to bond and unite conscientious artists in order to form a unit which is influential in the Department of Art and the city of Macomb by reaching out to art programs and artists throughout the community.

To become a member of Kappa Pi one must: 

  • be an Art Major or Minor
  • have completed twelve semester hours in Art.
  • attained an overall "3.0" average in all art courses, and an overall "2.0" academic average.
  • produce outstanding artwork.

Metals Club

The Metals Club is dedicated to the advancement of metals/jewelry art. This club promotes metals/jewelry art through community outreach, visiting artist lectures, and studio demonstrations. The Metals Club is one of the major sponsors of the Art Sale , a semesterly event that features-creative, handmade, one-of-a-kind ceramics, jewelry, prints and other artwork. This event is Monday - Wednesday of Finals Week every semester in the University Student Union.
