- Kappa Pi started the year off by holding a sock drive for United States Marines serving in the Helmand Province region of Afganistan. Our “Socks for Soldiers” drive collected over 800 donated socks from the University students and the local community of Macomb. Collection tables were set up in the WIU student Union and at the local Farm King store. The University Union Bookstore, American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and WIU alums also made donations.
- Kappa Pi hosted the second annual “Rock N' Bowl” fundraiser at Diggers College Bowl, Macomb, Illinois.
- During Christmas, Kappa Pi rang the bell for The Salvation Army. For the belling ringing, the Kappa Pi’ers merrily sang Christmas Carols and greeted customers at the Macomb Wal-Mart.
- Kappa Pi students and faculty attended the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago.
- Kappa Pi continues to work with the West Central Illinois Art Center in the Macomb.
- Kappa Pi sponsored a team in the Big Pink Volleyball competition at WIU.
