The Choral Leadership Workshop for High School Students

The Choral Leadership Workshop is an exciting and motivating opportunity for any student considering a career in choral music.  Our opening session will be presented by Dr. Tim Fredstrom, from Illinois State University.  Other sessions on leadership and college preparation will be presented by Dr. James Stegall and Dr. Kelly Miller from WIU.  Students will have numerous opportunities to interact with these clinicians and participate in our most popular offering, a special rehearsal session with the Western Illinois University Singers.  For those that wish to augment their workshop experience, please bring your entire choir for a motivating choral clinic session in the afternoon.  This was a very popular offering last year.  Space for this opportunity is limited to 3 choirs so please let us know at your earliest convenience.

To register, simply send an email to jc-stegall@wiu.edu with the following information:

1.  Director's name and  cell phone,
2.  School name,
3.  Names and grade-level of each participating student, and
4.  Indicate if you are bringing your entire choir and want a special clinic.

Please bring the $5.00 per student registration fee to the check-in table on the day of the workshop.  Registration deadline is Tuesday, October 9.
