University Singers
Meets: M W F 1p to 1:50p and T TH 12:30p to 1:45p
Fall and Spring Semesters
The representative choral ensemble from Western. Though primarily music majors, membership is open to all university students, most of who receive talent grant awards. This nationally recognized ensemble of highly motivated singers presents two major concerts per semester, an annual recruiting tour, and yearly major works with the WIU Symphony Orchestra. The University Singers regularly receive invitations to perform for regional and national conventions for the Music Educators National Conference and the American Choral Directors Association. They have also appeared on professional venues with the Kansas City Symphony, the Dallas Brass, the Peoria Symphony and the Phoenix Symphony.

100 singers performing a wide variety of choral styles in addition to major works with the WIU Symphony Orchestra.

Madrigal Singers
Meets MWF Noon to 12:50p
Fall Semester only
A select group of singers 12 to 16 singers who perfrom chamber repertoire and present the biennial Madrigal Dinner in period costumes

Meets TTh 3p to 6p
Fall and Spring Semesters
For students desiring the operatic stage experience
Vocal Jazz Ensemble
Meets MTh 6:30p to 8:00p
Spring Semester only.
A select group of 8 to 12 singers who perform a wide variety of jazz and popular styles
