Jennifer K. Grimm is the Academic Advisor for the Communication Department. As an academic advisor Jennifer assists undergraduate students majoring in Communication to earn a Bachelors degree from WIU. She also works with students interested in Communication as a major or minor. Jennifer currently serves as the Council of Administrative Professionals Vice President, on the University Theme Committee, as a COFAC representative for Council of Academic Advisors, and as a Judicial Board member. In 2008 Jennifer was named the Employee of the Year by the Council of Administrative Professionals (COAP). Before coming to Western in 2004 Jennifer was the Director of Orientation and Transition Programs in the First Year Experience Office at Minnesota State University from 2002 to 2004. She also served as a Residence Life Coordinator, Housing and Dining Services at Kansas State University from 1999 to 2002. Before beginning work on her master's degree Jennifer worked at Bridgeway, Inc as a Child Advocate and Visitation Specialist from 1994 to 1997.
