Graduate Program Financial Assistance
The program offers graduate assistantships that provide monthly stipends and tuition waivers. Nineteen 2/3s assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis using academic performance (i.e., Undergraduate GPA or scholarship records and recommendations), clinical performance, and attitude as criteria. Graduate students may also apply for any one of three one-time scholarships awarded based on GPA and outstanding clinical skills.
Special financial assistance opportunities are available to minority students. Application materials are available in the Office of Graduate Studies in Stipes Hall 527, at 309/298- 1806.
In addition, to graduate assistantships, WIU provides a number of financial aid programs including loans, grants, scholarships, work-study, and part-time employment. Application materials for these are available from the Office of Financial Aid at 309/298-2446.
