Bruce Walter's Art Exhibition at Quad City Arts Gallery
Bruce Walters exhibited at the Quad City Arts Gallery in January and February. He also gave an hour long interview about the show on the Quad City area NPR station.
According to Steve Banks of the River City Reader, "Walters' color illustrations and charcoal drawings are masterfully rendered. He can summarize a pose or an expression with a few essential strokes or smudges. His visual structure actively guides the viewer through his compositions. His selection process from his research studies and sketches allows him a visual economy in his drawings that few artists can achieve."
Bruce Walters also reports that Des Moines City Magazine featured two alums in a recent issue:
Brent Houzenga (BA 2006) and Michelle Phillips (BA 2007) who were both in Walter’s graphic design classes. See the Des Moines City Magazine.
