Faculty News Sam Edsall has created a couple of online shows. One show is titled 'Senior Showcase' and features the audio and video projects of the senior broadcasting students. This first episode showcases the work of students currently enrolled in the production capstone class BC 490 Senior Workshop in Production. These examples are their midterm projects. See the show. The second production is the 2009 Miss Macomb Scholarship Pageant. Edsall has been covering this event every year since 1990. He used two Panasonic P2 cameras (one for wide shots and the other for close-ups) and he shot the event digitally without tape. He then edited the show using Final Cut Pro and Motion. He burns DVD's that the broadcasting department sells to the public. The Miss Macomb Scholarship Pageant will air on wiutv3. Edsall also presented "Creating Vodcasts for Mobile Devices from PowerPoint Lectures - Tools for PC and Mac" at the the 10th Annual TechFest at WIU.
