Angela Thomason, Office Support Specialist in the Speech and Hearing Clinic at WIU, was recently appointed Vice President of The Lamoine Valley Human Resources Association for the upcoming year. This group is seeking new members and all office professionals are welcome to join, not just HR personnel. LVHRA meets for lunch at the Old Dairy on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 12:00 NOON to 1:00 PM. There is a different speaker each month and the topic is usually geared towards Human Resource related issues. They also hold an annual meeting each year with a host speaker and a catered luncheon. The 2010 Annual LVHRA meeting will be held on February 18, 2010 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the new Spoon River College site with Jude Kiah as the guest speaker.
