Museum Studies students participated in a field trip to Des Moines, Iowa in November. Students toured the Des Moines Art Center and its new Pappajohn Sculpture Garden, which includes sculptures by Deborah Butterfield, Louise Bourgeois, Willem de Kooning, Martin Puryear, Joel Schapiro, and others. They met with education manager, Jennifer Cooley, and associate registrar/rights and reproductions manager, Mickey Koch. They also met with the Historical Society Museum Interim Director and Chief Curator, Michael Smith, for a behind-the-scenes visit of the collections.
