BROADCASTING - October 2008

wiutv3 Online

Sam Edsall reports wiutv3 Online is just getting started.

WIUTV3

wiutv3 Online is the web equivalent of wiutv3 News which broadcasts Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on Comcast Cable television channel 3 at 4:00 PM. The site is maintained by the Department of Broadcasting BC 419 Online Writing class. Students from this class practice their online writing skills by crafting stories based on the day's news that is covered on our television newscast. We usually add depth to the stories they cover on air.

It includes local news, sports, weather and video. It also include a finance section with the current issue headlines. Most sections include streaming video packages from various networks. We also stream wiutv3 during the day and evening and capture the 4:00 newscast for viewing at any time.
