Adrianna Andrews-Marshall

Adrianna Andrews-Marshall is the 2012-2013 Dissertation Fellow for the Music Education Department, she is also a violist,
originally from Kansas City, Missouri. She received a B.A. in Music Liberal Arts, and minored in Business Administration from Xavier
University of Louisiana in 2003. Adrianna continued her post—baccalaureate music education studies at the University of New Orleans
and at the University of Missouri—Kansas City Conservatory. In 2009, she completed her masters in Music Education at the Peabody Conservatory
of Johns Hopkins University.
Currently, Professor Marshall is a doctoral candidate in Music Education at the University of Florida. During her studies,
Professor Marshall has created a curriculum teacher handbook for the University of Florida—Opera Department Community Outreach Program,
represented the music department as the Graduate Student Council representative, and taught several undergraduate courses in music education including ;
String Skills I, Strings Skills II, Elementary Music for the Classroom Teacher, and Strings Class Teaching. In the past eight years,
she has also taught orchestra in New Orleans, LA, Kansas City, MO, and Baltimore, MD, and Gainesville, FL.
