G.E.M.S. - Graduate Experience in Museum Studies
MISSION:
To promote interest in museums, to provide fellowship among students and faculty interested in museums, and to provide a forum for innovative ideas that will benefit the WIU-QC community.
GEMS EVENTS: Annual Workshop and Symposium Enhance student and museum professional's careers and knowledge with hands on activities have to do with issues in museums and presentations dealing with museum based studies and/or experiences.
Service Assist local institutions with museum related projects such as cleaning permanent exhibitions, assisting with events and helping install and de-install exhibitions.
WANT TO JOIN? GEMS welcomes any student at Western Illinois University-Quad Cities, graduate or undergraduate, to be an active member. Non-students are also welcome to become associate members, but may not vote or hold office. Please contact:
