Museum Studies

Meet Our Students

Lauren Sciascia is from Aurora, Illinois. She has a BFA in Printmaking from Northern Illinois University and an AA emphasis in Photography from Waubonsee Community College.

She has worked as a full time freelance artist, and volunteers at Quad City Arts Gallery. She also works as a part time house cleaner and is a former intern for Bad Dog Gallery, in DeKalb, Illinois. "The greatest part of a museum and learning about museums is openness for diversity. When entering through the doors we instantly become each other's people, our people.

Regardless of the exhibition or the content of what a museum houses, every individual is there for the same purpose; to learn, to experience and to enjoy, the fundamentals of simply being human."
