Amanda is a Quad Cities native who has lived and worked in Colorado and Missouri as well. She graduated from Western Illinois University with both her B.A. and M.A. from the RPTA program, focusing on special events and conferencing as well as military recreation.

"I became interested in the program because of my interest in history. Museums, to me, are a great opportunity for the preservation of our history. After completing this program I am hoping to move on to a Ph.D. program in Anthropology focusing on Archaeology. My main area of interest is in Near Middle Eastern studies."
