Carolyn is a first year graduate student born and raised locally in Moline, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2010 with a B.S. in Integrative Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

Although she spent most of her undergraduate career working in developmental biology research labs, museums have always been her first love.

Carolyn chose this program for its diversity and the hands-on experience it would offer.

Carolyn has spent most of her time in natural history and science museums. Since she loved museums so much as a child, she hopes to gain educational experience to one day help curate or design educational programs in natural history museums.
