Email: S-Page@wiu.edu Starr having studied and receiving a BA with a certificate in the ABA Paralegal Studies from Roosevelt University, the intention was to attended Law school, however, in regrouping and realizing that being a creative person and an artist I have always had a great passion for museums, therefore a suggestion was made that it would be wise to investigate a Museum Studies program, as my interest runs deeper then studio art practice. My career goal through the Museum Studies program is to understand the departments of collection management, curatorial and exhibition development. I anticipate much of my time as a professional will be spent fulfilling the museums mission’s statements through caring for and displays of permanent collections, presenting special exhibitions, researching for future exhibitions, overseeing the museums exhibitions and acquisitions programs, rehousing and digitizing materials, and writing articles for quarterly magazines. Museology is an exciting and challenging field; museums are a crucial part of society’s well being, because they preserve culture and history.
